Vintage Tins

We stock a wide variety of vintage tins at Scaramanga. Ranging from metal storage tins to bread tins and money boxes. Many of our tins are from India and were used to store pulses including beans, lentils, peas; and rice in the kitchen. They come in a variety of colours including blue, green, red, yellow, black and turquoise. Their sizes vary from 15cm to 60cm in diameter.

Some of our tins have been made from repurposed and recycled iron from old industrial storage containers, and roofing sheets. These pots are ideal for plants and storing cutlery or pens and pencils. They have a handy handle for hanging and carrying. They are available in bright colours.

Our vintage bread tins have been reclaimed from bakeries and were used to bake 3, 4, 5 and 6 loaves. They have a lovely aged patina. They can be hung from walls and used as mini shelving display pieces.

Our money boxes are faith reproductions of the money boxes often found in public places in India for people to leave donations for a number of popular charities. Our red and yellow cow donations money boxes show a handpainted Indian cow, Hindi writing and information about their charity. The boxes are now available in blue, orange, black and green.

The oldest tins we have are antique measuring pots from India. They would have been used by market traders to measure out a quantity of dry goods such as rice or pulses. They are available in small, medium and large.

Our vintage tins and money boxes make unique gifts and add pops of colour to any room at home. While vintage bread tins can be used as innovative display pieces.
