We are an original lifestyle brand that designs and creates beautiful leather goods. We search markets to provide stunning, genuine vintage furniture and interiors. Our specially curated collection includes antique and repurposed pieces which are hand restored by expert craftspeople. All of our pieces are unique and full of history and character.
Our story began in 1998. A yearning for travel and distant cultures led Carl Morenikeji to a dusty market in North-West India where he found beautiful vintage furniture and leather goods. He bought a handful of old satchels and vintage treasures and when he returned home, he gave these to his family and friends who were delighted with their gifts. In 2006, Carl reflected on his last trip to India, which inspired him to return and seek out artisans practising traditional craft skills with the hope that they could collaborate. Carl wanted to bring the impressive craftmanship and fascinating culture from India back to Scotland for others to enjoy. 13 years later and Carl created Scaramanga – a renowned lifestyle brand based in Fife, Scotland.
We now sell over 30 styles of vintage-inspired leather bags designed and created to be modern, functional and made to last. We sell over 50 leather accessories including belts, wallets, luggage tags and even hand sanitiser bottle holders. We have worked with the same leather craftspeople in India since the beginning, trading fairly and we are grateful for our meaningful relationship with them. We take an eco-conscious approach to our leather, we don’t use chemicals or dyes, and we keep all the imperfections in the leather to prevent waste, which means each leather piece has a unique character to it.
Scaramanga has an ever-growing collection of authentic and affordable furniture, interiors and unique art sourced from all around the world. We hand-pick all of our pieces and restore them to provide functional and durable pieces that eliminate waste. We have been featured in 13 major Hollywood and UK film productions including Batman, David Copperfield and The Secrets of Dumbledore.
